Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao Foundation (RMHC) aims to support families that are going through difficult times because of their sick child. Their mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in Curaçao and neighboring islands.

Children heal better and faster when they are surrounded by their loved ones.
With this idea the Family room was created at the St. Elisabeth Hospital. The Ronald McDonald Family room offers parents a place to rest and recharge themselves in the hospital, just a few steps away from their sick child. The family room is available for all parents with hospitalized children at St. Elisabeth Hospital.

RMHC also offers support to pediatric oncology patients in close collaboration with Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds. On a yearly basis there are 4 to 5 childhood oncology cases in Curaçao. These patients are always send abroad for treatment. Therefore there is a great need for helping parents of these children during this very traumatic period.

Through ART X the Curaçao Lions Club wants to make a contribution to the Ronald McDonald House Charities by making a donation with part of the proceeds of ART X, especially to aid the support offered to pediatric oncology patients.
